Family Child Care Providers are independent, self employed business people who have assumed one of society's most important responsibilities, that of caring for our youngest children. Young children thrive in a stable long term relationship with the same provider in the comfort of a home environment and in small groups where each child's needs can be best met. Family child care can allow parents flexibility in their work schedules such as early morning, night, or weekend care. Parents are able to work more productively when their children are safe and in good care.

Large Family Child Care – License for 12

The maximum number of children for whom care may be provided, with an assistant present, in a large family child care licensed for 12, including children under age 10 who live in the licensee's home and/or the assistant’s children , is: Twelve children, no more than four of whom may be infants.
