Important revised information regarding CALIFORNIA IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILD CARE

From the California Department of Public Healt - “As supplies of Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) vaccine are again adequate, one dose of Hib vaccine on or after the 1st birthday will once again be required for all children ages 15 months to four years and six months to enter licensed child care and related early childhood programs on or after September 1, 2011(17 CCR § 6025). “)

Update from Peter Vaernet at DPH: He said not to worry about this new vaccine requirement. It only applies to children who are just starting child care after Sept.1. Children’s regular visits to the doctor will get them updated as needed.
